Covenant Community Church Finances

This is not going to be long because finances at Covenant Community Church, while necessary, are not central to our mission. Churches and money can be an unholy alliance when money dominates the relationship. At Covenant Community Church we recognize the necessity of money to accomplish our mission in the community, but work very hard to keep our focus on the mission, not the money.

Our members are generous in their financial support. There is little or no arm-twisting to secure pledge commitments each year. But, as a small church, there is rarely enough money to accomplish everything we hope to do. So, we set and fund our priorities, doing the best we can. It is a wonderful thing to see what God allows us to accomplish with limited financial resources.

Our substitute for limited money is our time and talent contributed to every activity behind our Ministry Map, as well as building and grounds maintenance, office and pastoral support, and other operational jobs. For many of us, these hands-on activities help make our contributions to God's work through Covenant Community Church more personal and meaningful than paying someone else to do it for us.

Faithfully,

Ken Nitchie,
Treasurer
