Greetings in the Name of Jesus!
My name is Peter Norland. I've been pastor at Covenant Community Church since August 2007.
Before coming to Covenant Community Church, I graduated from North Park Theological Seminary, in Chicago, a great little seminary in a great big city.
I have been married for ten years to my best friend, Christina. Together we have three children: Magdalen, John Paul, and Amos. This past year we bought a home near Jericho Center, Vermont. We love it here.
Together our family enjoys spending time in God's wonderful creation, practicing hospitality, caring for small parcel of land (ask me about our sheep!), and of late, doing some home improvement.
I love good coffee, crave interesting conversations, and often combine the two. Consider this an invitation! I want to learn how to live well as child of God. To that end I'm interested in theology, philosophy, ethics, free and open-source software, science, literature, farming, the environment, business, politics, home economics, and just about everything else.
Growing up, I always wanted to be a farmer. Now, I get to “shepherd the congregation” here at Covenant Community Church. We are a unique community, real people trying to love God and one another in meaningful ways. Almost three years ago, Covenant Community Church caught my eye and captured my heart from over a thousand miles away. Check us out—it could happen to you, too.
I'd like to hear from you. You can call me at the church (802) 879-4313, or email me at pastor (at) jerichocovenantchurch.org.
Peace to you,
Pastor Peter Norland
